《商品詳細》
NewBalance（ニューバランス）の代表品番900番台の中で初代990から数えて8番目のモデルとして開発され、2021年で誕生20周年の節目を迎えた991。この990番台屈指の人気モデルのアニバーサリーを記念し、今年はさまざまな限定モデルが控えているのだが、その第1弾がようやく発表された。
991は誕生当時こそUS製だったものの、次第に生産拠点をイングランドのフリンビー工場に移し、現在はそのほとんどがUK製となっている。今回のアニバーサリーモデルはこのUK製というDNAにオマージュを捧げ、アッパーをアイコンカラーであるグレーとベージュで構成されたメンズ/ウィメンズをそれぞれ用意。もちろん991の代名詞とも言えるミッドソールの衝撃吸収材ABZORB（アブゾーブ）や耐久性のあるアウトソールNdurance（Nデュランス）を搭載しているほか、メンズはシックなダークグレー、ウィメンズはポップなティールが“N”ロゴやミッドソールの一部に用いられている。また、ヒールに配された“991”の刺繍が“2001”に置き換わっているのも見逃せないポイントだろう。
